Glazing Bar with Rag

Capex Glazing Bar is a slightly raised aluminium profile designed to secure and join multiwall polycarbonate sheets. Supplied by Irish manufacturer Exitex, it features a gasket strip along each side of the bar to support a secure installation.

The glazing bar is most commonly fitted horizontally over the joint where two polycarbonate sheets meet on a rafter. It can also be installed vertically for greenhouse, outhouse and shed applications.

Each Capex bar is pre-drilled and supplied with fixing screws, end caps and a 45mm-wide RAG 45 gasket in a matching length. During installation, the gasket is laid flat along the rafter. The sheets are positioned on top with a small gap between them, and the Capex bar is then secured over the joint.

Installation Tip

Tighten the supplied screws by hand only. Do not overtighten, as excessive pressure may damage or indent the polycarbonate sheets.
