Roof Fixing Buttons are designed to secure multiwall polycarbonate sheets to intermediate rafters where Capex glazing bars are not used.
Each fixing consists of a metal screw, foam washer, moulded PVC button and cover cap. The button is installed by drilling through the multiwall sheet, inserting the fixing and carefully tightening the screw into place.
For a watertight seal, silicone is commonly applied inside the drilled hole before inserting the fixing button.
Do not overtighten the screw. Excessive tightening can create an indentation in the polycarbonate sheet, allowing water to collect and potentially causing seepage or leaks.
